Word on the Hill: Gorsuch on Snapchat


The National Republican Senatorial Committee has decided to have some fun with Judge Neil Gorsuch’s Supreme Court nomination hearings.


The NRSC launched a Snapchat filter series in support of Gorsuch, and a new filter will be unveiled each day that you can use if you’re in the area. The committee asks that you send your photographs with the filter to ‘TheNRSC’ on Snapchat.

On Monday, the Human Rights Campaign also had a filter for the hearing that said: “Hate Won’t Make Us Great.”

Albright on the Hill

This week is jampacked with interesting people on Capitol Hill. Today, former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright will participate in a House Armed Services Committee hearing on “America’s Role in the World” at 10 a.m. in 2118 Rayburn.

Spotted

California Democrats Barbara Lee and Karen Bass were spotted having brunch at Station 4 (1101 Fourth St. SW) together on Sunday. Two unidentified female guests also joined the congresswomen.

Sweet 16

Every year, Roll Call matches members of Congress with the field in the NCAA men’s college basketball championship bracket. House members are selected by whose districts the 64 teams in the tournament are located in.
